A liquid is carried into the center of a rapidly rotating rotor via a supply pipe

Centrifugal force accelerates the liquid outwards to a specially shaped plate edge, from where the fine droplets of the spray application fly.

The spatial distribution of the droplets is independent of the dosed liquid volume.

The diameter of the droplets is dependent on the rotation speed of the rotors and the viscosity and surface tension of the respective spray liquid, and in most applications is between 30 and100 micrometers.
